Statements and Reports Release Notes
The enhancements and modifications below are available as of November 9, 2009.
Value at Risk (VAR) Summary reports have been updated as follows:
- The generated report has been redesigned to look like IB's other reports: it appears in the web browser and contains expandable and collapsible sections.
- The report now computes your Value at Risk (VAR) at 99, 99.5 and 100% confidence levels. Previously, it only computed VAR at a 99% confidence level.
- Where applicable, the report data is based on subportfolios as well as accounts.
- Advisor and Broker Master users can view consolidated data for all of their client accounts.
Broker Masters only can run this report to view a snapshot of client daily, month-to-date and year-to-date expenses, revenues, net revenue, gross margin and aggregate client MTM. You access this report from the Advisor & Broker Summaries page, available in the Report Management menu of Account Management.
Activity statements and Activity Flex queries support Stock Borrow activity for IB Portfolio Margin accounts that borrow US stocks on the AQS® electronic stock loan and borrow marketplace. The following changes have been made to the stock borrow activity sections, which are only displayed for customers who have Stock Loan and Borrow (SLB) permissions:
- Equity Summary - This section now displays Cash Collateral and Direct Securities Borrowed for SLB customers.
- Cash Report - This section now displays Cash Collateral Details and Net Cash Details sections for SLB customers. Cash Collateral Details displays Starting Cash Collateral, Net Securities Borrowed Activity, Ending Cash Collateral and Ending Settled Cash Collateral.
- Hard to Borrow Details - This section is now called Non-Direct Hard to Borrow Details.
- Open Borrow Contracts - This section is now called Direct Securities Borrowed and includes a Transaction ID column.
- Borrow Activity - This section is now called Direct Securities Borrowed Activity and includes a Transaction ID column.
- Direct Borrow Fee Details - This section is now called Direct Securities Borrowed Fee Details.

Withdrawal Fees are now displayed in the Other Fees section.
The fields in this section have been updated to be more consistent in both the Activity Flex and Trades Confirms Flex queries.
All amounts, prices, quantities, and other numerical data is now presented in raw form, unformatted with no rounding.
Forex commissions are now displayed correctly in the base currency of the account in both Trade Confirmation reports and Trade Confirms Flex queries.In Trade Confirms Flex queries, there is a new field called Commission Currency.
